RESORT MANAGER
About the role
Resort Manager, under the Operations Department, reporting to the Board of Directors and supervising Team Leaders/Supervisors/Department Heads and staff. The role leads and drives overall profitability by optimizing operations across accommodations, food & beverage, guest services, maintenance, and marketing — upholding the resort's brand standards, elevating the guest experience, and accelerating sustainable growth. Internal stakeholders include the Board, company subsidiaries, Marketing, Accounting, Head Office, supervisors, and staff; external stakeholders include guests, clients, organizers, travel agencies, corporate accounts, suppliers/vendors, government agencies, LGUs, and banks.
Responsibilities
Operations management
- Oversee daily operations of all resort departments — rooms division, front office, guest services, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, security, spa, and recreation
- Ensure seamless coordination between resort and restaurant operations for unified service delivery
- Set and implement operational goals aligned with quality, safety, and service standards
- Conduct regular coordination meetings with supervisors/department heads
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and preventive-maintenance programs across the property
Guest experience & quality
- Maintain high guest satisfaction by addressing feedback and handling escalated concerns directly
- Ensure prompt complaint resolution and strong customer relations
- Oversee guest-service standards, training programs, and continuous-improvement feedback systems
- Conduct regular inspections to uphold product and service quality
Financial management
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
- Monitor financial performance — room occupancy, cost efficiency, and F&B profitability
- Approve procurement, manage vendors, and ensure cost-effective purchases
- Develop pricing, revenue, and yield strategies to maximize profitability
Sales, marketing & partnerships
- Work with marketing on promotions, campaigns, and social media presence
- Lead sales initiatives targeting corporate, travel agencies, event organizers, and group bookings
- Develop local and corporate partnerships to drive occupancy, events, and brand visibility
- Maintain a strong online and offline reputation across platforms and channels
People leadership
- Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team exemplifying ethics, integrity, and competence, and foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Conduct and monitor performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and rewards/recognition per company policy
Compliance, safety & risk
- Ensure compliance with local government regulations, business permits, operational licenses, and industry standards
- Oversee security protocols, emergency procedures, and workplace safety programs
- Conduct regular risk assessments for guest and staff safety
Community, reporting & strategy
- Engage with the local community, government, and tourism networks; represent the resort in tourism boards and industry activities; participate in community/charitable initiatives for goodwill
- Develop and track KPIs for operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness
- Submit comprehensive monthly reports by the 10th of the following month
- Recommend operational improvements, business opportunities, expansion plans, and long-term development strategies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience: 5–8 years in hotel or resort management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
