Operations Manager ( Mindanao )
About the role
Operations Manager (Visayas) — the executive responsible for overseeing and managing company-wide business operations through its regional operating arms. The role ensures strategic business objectives are performed efficiently and effectively, driving profitability and sales generation while managing resources equitably. Working closely with the President/CEO, it leads the regional management team, sets and enforces operational standards across branches, and is accountable for the achievement of short- and long-term business objectives.
Responsibilities
Strategy & business development
- Ensure operations contribute significantly to the company's corporate business strategy; lead branch service management and strategy development in client production and operational efficiency toward short- and long-term objectives
- Champion strategic operating plans and budgets reflecting the long-term objectives and priorities of branches; develop and implement strategic plans for current and future organizational needs
- Provide management in the development, production, and promotion of company services organization-wide
Operational leadership & performance
- Collaborate with the President/CEO on the overall administration of branches and their operations
- Drive performance measures that evaluate operations on efficiency versus effectiveness
- Ensure regional/branch operational standards are in place, implemented, and measured
- Conduct regular meetings/sessions so regional officers complete branch operations per set priorities
Controls, compliance & governance
- Put in place an effective system of controls across branches — systems, code of conduct, ethics, policies and procedures, sales and marketing, and non-financial controls
- Maintain mutually beneficial relationships with government partners (LTO, TESDA, LGU)
Team leadership & supervision
- Build and lead an effective, cohesive regional management team and representations
- Provide direction to directly supervised employees; maintain clarity of assignments, coordinate subordinates' duties, and help when needed
- Plan short- and medium-term operations (people, processes, equipment, materials, resources) to meet department goals
- Lead and develop the team through performance feedback, coaching, mentoring, and training; organize the department (roles, processes, resources) for performance
- Monitor department performance, resolving issues that hinder goal achievement
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations Management, or a related field; a Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of senior operations management experience, preferably in multi-branch, service, retail, or education/training operations. Must have proven experience managing managers and overseeing regional or multi-site operations, with a strong track record in operational strategy, performance management, business development, and profitability.
Trainings: Leadership, strategic management, and operations/performance management training; supervisory and conflict-management training. Knowledge of road-safety regulations and driving-education standards is an advantage.
